The Essentials
Comfortable rucksack, capacity approximately 20-25 litres
1-2 litres fluid
Food and snacks
Any medication or toiletries you might need - tissues and hand sanitiser are always handy
Extra layers and spare socks - pop these in a drybag or carrier bag to protect them
Power bank
Useful Extras
Sit mat - an easy way to avoid a cold, wet bum
Hiking poles - for extra stability and for testing bog depth
