Being able to access and experience the outdoors is hugely beneficial to both physical and mental wellbeing. However, many women face barriers to getting outside, including a lack of confidence, knowledge or skills, or a fear of judgement by others. The Girl’s Adventure Alliance aims to encourage more women to get outside on a regular basis by assisting with the planning and navigation of walks, and also upskilling women to be able to adventure independently.

Anything you want, as long as it keeps you safe and comfortable. Most of our routes involve some uneven or wet terrain, so sturdy waterproof trainers or walking boots are recommended. As we are in Britain, we recommend bringing a waterproof coat with you on all activities! The best clothes will be those that are quick-drying and comfortable against your skin - please, no denim! Some routes or activities will have particular requirements, so always check the description and if you are unsure, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
